This strain is almost no different from another well-known type of cannabis with a similar name — White Widow — except, perhaps, for its rich dark-purple hue, as bottomless as the October night sky. It is in this month that the hard-hitting harvest of Black Widow ripens.

The genetic parents of Black Widow repeat the genetics of White Widow, although they are not identical to them, which apparently led to the distinctive pigmentation features of this plant.
