A Genetic Experiment That Produced a Stunning Result - Caramelo Seeds
At its core, Caramelo is a product of reverse breeding two phenotypes of the same strain—Lavender. This seemingly simple process not only allowed for the blending of genetics from around the world (Hawaii, Afghanistan, Colombia, and Mexico) in the right proportions but also endowed the plant with a range of unique characteristics. Flowering for Caramelo takes 60 days indoors (sometimes it may extend slightly), resulting in a yield of 400-450 g/m². Outdoors, the strain is ready for harvest around mid-October, yielding an average of 500-900 grams per plant.
A Strain with a Unique Appearance
Initially, the plant may appear to resemble an indica. However, during the vegetative stage, the sativa genes quickly become evident, as the plant grows very rapidly. By the flowering stage, there are no doubts about Caramelo's sativa genetics. By the end of flowering, the buds may take on reddish, purple, and violet hues—a true delight for aesthetics enthusiasts! They are covered with a thick layer of trichomes, giving the buds a snow-covered look.
Spicy-Floral Aroma and Pungent Flavor
Reflecting its color, Caramelo's aroma also immediately reminds one of flowers. You'll distinctly sense lavender, licorice, and musk. As flowering progresses, the scent becomes even more intense and spicy. The taste is sweet, reminiscent of walnuts with notes of the Skunk family.
Classic Hybrid Effect
The dominance of sativa genes is also apparent in Caramelo's effect. After consumption, you'll experience inspiration and euphoria. After a while, the indica genes will make themselves known—your body will relax, and you'll feel a sense of tranquility. However, the pleasant level of cerebral stimulation will remain throughout the effect.
The Best Strain for Training
Caramelo handles pruning incredibly well and quickly produces a large number of new branches. This makes it an ideal choice for SCroG and other plant training methods involving pruning. To ensure full flowering outdoors, make sure Caramelo has enough space. If you need smaller plants, limit the vegetative stage, as it is particularly active in this strain.
