Desfrán

Desfrán is a legendary South American cannabis strain that has won numerous awards at various cannabis cups.

Desfrán is the result of breeding the Destroyer strain with itself. Originally, this strain was developed through a triple cross of Mexican Oaxaca, Colombian Punto Rojo, and Meao Thai. Dutch Passion acquired this cannabis strain through Alberto from Argentina, an experienced cannabis grower and connoisseur, as well as the owner of Haze magazine. Our first collaborative project was to introduce Desfrán to Europe.

During its vegetative growth phase, Desfrán does not require heavy feeding. It thrives well in soil, particularly when given ample root space. Additionally, Desfrán adapts well to various growing methods. As a 100% Sativa strain, it reaches great heights and develops long branches that can quickly fill a grow room. When rubbing the stem during the vegetative phase, it releases a strong fruity aroma.

During flowering, the plant can grow up to three times its original height. Desfrán produces a substantial amount of resin, making it suitable for growing techniques like SOG (Sea of Green) and SCROG (Screen of Green). The flowering period typically lasts around 9-10 weeks. Desfrán is characterized by a fruity aroma of pear and green apple, with a flavor reminiscent of caramelized pear, complemented by hints of grape and melon. The buds are dense and compact, which is atypical for Sativas. After drying, the buds appear like glossy pine cones.

The early harvest of this strain generally delivers a strong psychedelic effect for the smoker, while the later harvest offers a sweeter flavor with the characteristic effects of the Destroyer strain.
