“Northern Light” is one of the most famous cannabis strains in the world. This predominantly Afghan Indica strain was created back in the 1970s in the United States. In the 1980s, this plant made its way to the Netherlands, and soon after, “Northern Lights” became one of the standard strains for indoor cultivation. Over the past few years, methods of cultivating and breeding new cannabis strains have changed significantly, which is why the strain “Northern Light Automatic” was developed using both new and traditional cultivation and breeding techniques.
As a result, this strain is not only autoflowering but also feminized. The “Northern Light Automatic” strain is perfect for indoor growing but can also be cultivated outdoors in warmer climates. The plant begins to grow and flower almost immediately, and harvesting can be done just 9-10 weeks after planting the seeds.
“Northern Light Automatic” yields excellently and is one of the highest-yielding autoflowering cannabis strains in the world. The height of the plant is approximately 90-120 cm, making it relatively tall compared to other autoflowering strains. When grown outdoors in Spain, it has produced around 200 grams. However, on average, the yield of the plant under suitable indoor conditions is about 90 grams.
Similar to the original “Northern Lights” strain, the “Northern Lights Automatic” plant boasts an excellent sweet flavor and provides a wonderful effect for the smoker. The strain is an autoflowering version of the classic “Northern Lights,” making it particularly suitable for those cultivators who grow cannabis for medical purposes.
